A story of identity and nostalgia. Shama, supposedly a French national, searches for her Arabic roots. Because of the infamous Seine River Massacre and an anonymous man’s telephone calls, Shama is led to ask many questions about her past. Working is a US intelligence agency, Shama is provided the opportunity to discover her reality through the agency’s classified archives. Instead, she what discovered is more important than her own history: dreadful truths about the occupation. She decides to stop searching for her old life, after realizing that she has sacrificed a sweet love for the sake of a painful past.
